Toddlers and Tiaras: Creepy or Cute?

You have probably heard of the TV show Toddlers and Tiaras on TLC. Little girls between the ages of two and six compete in beauty pageants. Now I am a huge fan of pageants and I don't even really mind child pageants, but I think the moms on this show arte taking it too far. The kids get spray tans, extreamly expensive dresses and teeth whitening and a lot of them arn't even in kindergarten! Plus a lot of them are spoiled rotten getting everything they want. And don't even get me started on the judges.... pedophiles! And how do you know who is watching them at home. So I'm not saying that putting your kids in pageants (in fact they are a great way to boost your self esteem, and they're fun!) But making them compete on TV in front of random strangers is not so good, spray tanning your 5 year old is not good, and spoiling your kid rotten is not good. So what's yall's opinion on this?

  1. I don't know about this TV show but I get your point. Kids should be taught much useful things than this. A poor upbringing is surely a consequence if kids will be put too much into such things.
